Fukushima Future Studies

Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework

This project aims to build a new industrial infrastructure in the Hamadori(coastal region of Fukushima prefecture) and other regions of Fukushima Prefecture to recover the industries lost due to the Great East Japan Earthquake and nuclear disaster, including fields such as robots, energy, decommissioning, and agroforestry and fisheries. Other aims include creating industrial clusters, developing human resources, and increasing the number of visitors.

Revitalization knowledge projects

These projects apply the knowledge (revitalization knowledge) possessed by universities and other parties to implement human resource development. Agreements between universities and municipalities in the Hamadori(coastal region of Fukushima prefecture) and other regions are leveraged to accumulate and utilize revitalization knowledge in these regions.

Fukushima University’s Revitalization Knowledge Project

Fukushima University’s Revitalization Knowledge Project is carried out through agreements with Minamisoma City, the Kawauchi Village, Okuma Town, and Iitate Village, with the goal of developing human resources who contribute to revitalization in the Hamadori(coastal region of Fukushima prefecture) and other regions of Fukushima Prefecture through continuous education and research activities.
